Give Back Friday - Middle East Appeal

As a small independent business we choose not to participate in Black Friday discounting because we think it encourages over-consumption, increases emissions from transportation, puts pressure on already stretched margins, and generates waste.

Each year we donate our profits for the period to charity. We usually work with a small local charity, where our contribution can make a big difference. However this year we’ve been horrified by the situation in Gaza and Lebanon, where the sheer scale of the response and recovery effort needed will require funding for many years to come.

This year we will be donating all profits from sales from Black Friday, 29th November to Cyber Monday, 2nd December to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Middle East Humanitarian Appeal. Conflict in the Middle East is devastating lives. As winter sets in, millions of people across Gaza, Lebanon and the wider region urgently need shelter, food and basic supplies. DEC charities are providing lifesaving food, water, shelter and medicine in the region.
