Brave Girl Vein Girl Fashion Show
We’re proud to be supporting the Brave Girl Vein Girl fashion show in aid of Something to Look Forward to on 4th & 5th October. Join us on the night for fashion, an art auction and DJs, all in aid of a great cause!
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October 2023) cancer survivor and artist Sharon Bennett will host a charity fashion show presenting six t-shirts she designed during her own cancer treatment. The tees celebrate the strength of spirit of women experiencing cancer. 69b will be providing other clothes and accessories from the Autumn Winter collection for the show.
Each t-shirt will be modelled by a survivor of breast cancer, who as a collective have had over 30 rounds of chemotherapy between them. Many of these women lost their hair, and all felt a change in their sense of self. This fashion show is a statement of rebellion and owning the experience of cancer.

About the Artist
Sharon Bennett is a Cambridgeshire based self-taught artist. Her lockdown painting of a baby crow (Trevor) caught the eye of Grayson Perry and his 2020 Channel 4 Art Club, and went on to be exhibited in Manchester Art Gallery.
Sharon’s art is deceptively vibrant and playful, with darker undertones and references. Follow her on Instagram @sharon.bennett1969
