Comfortable panelled Yamano Kaiso trainers from Flower Mountain. Kaiso means algae, and up to 40% of the outsole is composed of resin pellets produced by combining algae with base polymers. The upper is made from recycled nylon and bio-based panels derived from raw plant materials such as corn, while the lining is made from recycled plastic bottles.

About Flower Mountain
Flower Mountain originated from a meeting between Mr Keisuke Ota from Tokyo and Mr Yang Chao from Beijing, who discovered that they had a common passion for mountain trekking, music and footwear. They became firm friends and took a trip to the Mount Fuji Fuji Rock Festival where they came up with the idea of designing a functional and attractive shoe called Flower MOUNTAIN .
The distinctive colours, use of Japanese fabrics and high quality craftsmanship combine to make premium footwear for men and women in the Japanese tradition, with urban traits.
All Flower Mountain shoes are internally lined with leather with an additional natural cork insole. Both are treated with Agion, a natural mineral compound that prevents the formation of mould and prevents bacteria. This makes them extremely comfortable and durable. They have a lightweight, no-slip rubber sole and tread with outdoor grip.
Flower Mountain’s sustainable Kaiso Collection uses natural resources like algae as well as recycled and bio-based materials.
