About Camper

Camper was founded in Mallorca, Spain in 1975. They are a family business with a rich shoemaking heritage that defines their unique designs. Their shoes are still designed and developed in rural Mallorca.

Camper are working to ensure their entire production process is transparent, ethical and environmentally responsible. They are committed to eliminating virgin plastics from their footwear by 2025, and to ensuring that every product includes either renewable or recycled materials by 2025. They became carbon neutral in 2020, with the aim of becoming Net Zero by 2050.

The brand are proud to use leather as one of the best natural materials for footwear, but they only use high-quality leathers that are by-products of the meat industry and sourced from traceable suppliers. They have been members of the Leather Working Group since 2013, an organisation that is improving the environmental impact of the leather industry by assessing and certifying tanneries. They are replacing leather linings with chrome-free leathers, and have introduced recycled leather to reduce waste.
