But there is a better way to do Christmas. This year we're delighted to welcome back Honest - Love Our Planet whose collection of baubles and decorations are all handmade from recycled paper pulp, and carefully hand painted with plant-based colours, making them biodegradable.
Honest are focused on preserving the traditional artisan crafts of Kashmir, and at the same time empowering women by providing fair trade jobs for them.
Their paper mâché baubles are made by a team of skilled artisans using a traditional technique that involves mixing paper pulp with water, which is shaped on a clay mould and dried, then cut and glued together. The surface is then smoothed and painted.
