Jakke is an ethical fashion label born in 2015 by East London designer Nina Hopkins from her belief that fashion-forward women should be able to buy confidently into ethical fashion.
Each of their gorgeous faux fur jackets has a removable ‘Free From Fur’ patch on the sleeve. They have been awarded ‘Best Faux Fur Brand’ and ‘Best Wool Free Brand’ by PETA.
Jakke’s faux fur and puffer coats are made from recycled plastic bottles. The production of recycled polyester requires 59% less energy than virgin polyester, and it reduces the extraction of crude oil and natural gas from the Earth.
All polyester clothing sheds microfibres when washed in water, so Jakke’s jackets are designed to only require specialist dry cleaning once per year. They recommend using an eco-friendly dry cleaner like OXWASH.
