Designed by Alice

Alice is an ex ballet dancer turned designer / multidisciplinary artist who designs useful and beautiful things that tell stories and elevate our everyday. She crafts her unique ballet skirts, bodysuits and accessories in her East London studio, creating wearable art for dancers, wild swimmers and anyone dressing to express themselves.

Her collections are inspired by the natural world, using hand-painted illustrations. Every detail is ethically considered, using recycled materials. 

The Designed by Alice bodysuit uses fabric made from 78% recycled bottles - a sustainable material that also offers shape retention, two-way stretch and muscle control as well as resistance to chlorine, UV and oils.  The bodysuits are digitally printed in the UK, in small batches that minimise waste.
