Monokel’s sunglasses are hand crafted, 100% UV protective and biodegradable.

Sharp rectangular black frames crafted by hand from organic and biodegradable acetate.

The green lenses were made popular by aviator pilots in the 1930s, because of their ability to work in sunny and low light conditions. The lenses feature anti-scratch and anti-reflective treatment with 100% UVA/UVB protection. Made by renowned German lens manufacturer Carl Zeiss.

Deliveries to most London postcodes are dispatched using our Zero Emissions carrier and will be with you next day. 

We aim to dispatch postal orders to the rest of the UK using Royal Mail First Class within 24 hours Monday - Friday. Shipping is free for orders over £50.

Monokel Eyewear is a unisex sunglass label based in Stockholm, Sweden. The main material in their frames is a premium plant-based acetate, and all-black frames are made with recycled acetate. The lenses are made by Carl Zeiss Vision®.

Each frame is handcrafted with tremendous attention to detail in a process taking well over three months.

The brand philosophy stems from a mix of simplicity and functionalism, paired with an endless curiosity for the human mind and its need for creative expression.
