Is your clothing actually made of plastic? 

A jumper might be described as 'wool', but if a proportion of it is acrylic or polyester then every time you wash it it will release microplastics, contributing to plastic pollution. 

Natural fabrics like cashmere, cotton, linen and wool are biodegradable. Yarns such as viscose and modal are made from the pulp of beech trees or bamboo, and also biodegrade. They have hydroscopic properties that keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. 

Stick to natural fabrics and you can help do your bit for the planet.
